Incompetent and overpriced shipping

I ordered 2 plants both of which are of the lowest quality I have ever seen from any mail-order nursery. One was a Juniper evergreen which may survive due to natural hardiness. The second plant is a dwarf pomegranate which arrived bent/curled over with brownish-yellow leaves without a single leaf left. Both plants are practically falling out of the pots they are in because they were packaged in a bag! Shipping was $10 (about half of the total cost) which is high but plants require special handling. When I got the plants I found the bag shoved in the mailbox. From the outside, you really wouldn't be able to tell there were live plants inside. Burgess is incompetent to sell and ship live plants. They appear to be making their profits by overcharging on shipping.

User's recommendation: Do not buy live plants from them. Think twice before ordering anything else. Product quality: you get what you pay for...kind of.

Dead plants

I have ordered from this company a few times over the years first I ordered some fruit trees after 5/6 years they turned out to be fruit bushes ten years later they still look like bushes and still no fruit,,I ordered a number of hedge plants after planting only 8 out of 20 lived I sent all the dead plants back and have not heard back from them no answer on the phone either

I got doop by Burgess Seeds and Plant.

I ordered some plants way back in April 2020. I Burgess N Seeds asking where is my order because they took out money from my account. When I finally got my orders it was 2 dead trees. I sent it back way back in June and I have tracking number they got it back. What would I do to a dead tree. I requested a refund and they said they refunded me but It is now Aug. 16, 2020 I have not seen the refund. They also claiming I got the rest of my order but never received it. It is now Aug. Burgess Seed &;;;;;;;;; Company is doing bad dealing. This company you can not trust. Do not order any plants from this company because its a fraud company. A very very bad company

Terrible service

I ordered a peach tree and a gala apple tree to be sent as gifts. The peach tree was sent but no apple tree. After 4 emails to them with no response, I wrote a letter. I then was able to get an answer via phone and was told they would not ship apple tree until spring 2021! I then wrote a 2nd letter asking for refund for the apple tree that was never sent. Today I get a letter back stating I have to return original shipping label for a replacement. There is NO shipping label! The apple tree was NEVER shipped. I want my money back. This company is terrible!!!

User's recommendation: DO NOT deal with this company! If there were a minus rating they would get it. Do not deserve even one star.

Placed an order early April. Bad delivery time - the order arrived mid June while it was 92degrees out ( should have been shipped for early spring planting or late fall for winter planging) Sent wrong plants- blue spruce tree was normal white pine tree. Weeping willows were Rose if Sharon bushes. No answer from customer service. Do not recommend this company for your supplies - buy local instead.

Good thing I didn't rely on this company for my garden because nothing grew that they sent me. The seeds I received never came up, so I had to replant using Gurney's seeds and plants and guess what they grew. I will never order from Burgess again two years in a row...

I have written 3 times with a request for replacement plants. The first time they said they were sorry I hadn’t sent them the original shipping label, but I had.

The second time they said they had no record of receiving my shipping label which was enclosed again and resent in the second mailing. I attempted to scan and email the request again. They said they couldn’t open the pdf file because it was a “security risk.” I then confirmed the mailing address, and mailed the request for the third time. A month later I checked in, and they claimed they had no record of receiving the 3rd letter.

I asked them if I could fax the letter.

No response yet. My experience- 6 months so far -and counting.

Status of order

on the year warranty, it states to send in original packaging as proof of purchase and a written statement of what needs to be replaced. Did as requested. No feedback and the phone lines are always busy. Can't contact anyone to find out if replacement trees are coming or when they are coming. out of 13 three only 4 are alive.

Undelivered and unredeemable merchadise.

The company unfortunately has a nice scam going. Ordered a plant. They responded: "Despite what our catalog said, we can't send it to your state. But here's a coupon you can redeem on your next order." But to use the coupon, I have to pay a $9.99 S/H charge. For the privilege of paying for them misrepresenting the availability of their product originally. Plus many of their products are overpriced and can be obtained locally at less cost.

There is no customer service. Phone does not work e-mail a joke

I ordered seeds no plants expecting to get them faster because in that way I did not have to wait or take my chance receiving plants in bad shape because there are some delays with the mail. I was wrong, situation is worse than expected; four weeks later they said order was is process two weeks after that we are still waiting. My gift now ....is a nightmare my sister still waiting. Look for a different NO messages.
