Dead bushes, refund me please, it'll be frozen ground by the time i get any delivered again
Dead plants and terrible service
I ordered a tomato plant package and some strawberries. The tomato plants arrived a month and 1/2 after ordering and most were dead and the others unhealthy to the point that they are going to take most of the growing season to even get to a decent size.
I doubt if they will be able to produce before the frost. I was told they would be shipped at the proper time for planting and they arrived after the chance of frost had gone by (by 2 weeks). I still have not received the strawberries and the ones I have are already producing. Shipping cost is high and they came by snail delivery.
They were packaged loosely and had no protection to keep the 2 inch plant stems from being broken. I tried to contact them and the phone is always busy. I e-mailed them and have not gotten anything but it takes 2 to 3 weeks processing.......
I will never buy from this company again. Their guarantee is worthless too.

Know What You're Getting--Not Worth It
Usually we are smart enough to check ratings before making a purchase, but for whatever reason, we didn't do it this time. We had heard the Burgess name and liked the prices.
Whether or not what we bought will live remains to be seen. However, we will NEVER go this route again. We spent $121 on a few seeds (they were fine and came earlier) and plants that look mostly dead and/or so small it will take years before they looked the way we hoped. We placed our order the third week of April and after threatening to cancel it the first part of June, we were notified it would be delivered.
It arrived June 6th, which in our opinion, is past the planting season in our area. It is 90 degrees today (admittedly, a little hotter than normal) but still past the best time for planting.

Dishonest and outright stupid.
I mailed them the dead plants with the original packing slip and an explanation. I paid for the return out of pocket.
I followed all their rules regarding refund for dead plants. After weeks of silence I emailed an inquiry. Eventually I was sent an email by a Ms. Phelps who told me that I don't qualify for a refund because these plants from a "replacement order".
This was a total lie. Half the plants from the original order were dead dry upon arrival. According to Burgess own rules I qualified for a refund. These people are untrustworthy, as they lie and do not follow their own rules.
They also pretended to have a hard time finding my order. This a total scam and they should not be in business!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
I ordered from this company because they had the blue moon roses. I ordered 4 roses.
Different colors. I got my order a few month later. They sent my roses but one one was the color I ordered. I sent the labels and everything they needed back.
I just received my replacement and out of the 3 roses. One is right. I now have 4 different color pink roses. And no blue moon.
This was my mother’s favorite rose. I am so mad. These are one one rose that was died. That is what it looked like when I received it.
Find a better company.
I am not a complainer. But this needs to be told.
Rip off artists and full scam
Company sends dead products, operates their business by internet - Accept orders, payments, send order confirmations and shipping notifications - all via the internet and for their benefit.
But when customer receive dead and rotted plants, they claim they are not tech savy enough to accept complaints, replacement and refund requests via email ( the same methode they use to operate the rest of their business and receive your cash) but make you send all this info via snail mail!
THen they take 8-10 weeks to process your replacements - and then send you more dead rotting bulbs. They offer to replace them again, but in another 8-10 weeks, its too late to plant! or as a "Bonus" i can receive a voucher to wait an entire year to get more dead bulbs next season - No thanks!
Stay away from this company! As other pointed out, for a refund, you only have 14 days, but if your planting bulbs (unless they are completely black and rotted like mine) you wont know untl after the 14 days. Phone is constandly busy and hard to get through - probably from the thousands of dissatisfied customer calling constantly!
Also this business operates under many names - which also should tell you something (Royal Dutch Gardens, Dutch Gardens, Burgess Seed, Holland Bulbs) - they are all the same scammers stealing peoples hard earned money.
Pass this on to all friends and family. I only wish I had seen some notice before wasting my $60 - Thankfully it wasnt more. I had already ordered about $500 worth of plants between 3 other companies, all of which were good and reputable with quality product. This business shoudl be forced to shut down.

Dishonest business
Terrible Chstimer Service worst ever!
It took 6 weeks to receive the bushes I ordered. When I finally received them the package was slit open and done contents removed.
Planting guideline never received. Called company and they said I HAD TO RETURN their stupid label. Insult to injury. Imagine that long wait, products missing, package slit open and these clowns want me to fix it my sending their stupid label back.
I spoke to a supervisor and she said it’s our policy and I can’t change it. Customer service SUCKS at this business. I will NEVER do business with them again. They didn’t make an attempt to please the customer.
Never never again.

DID NOT RECEIVE ORDER
I have ordered from this company for over 25 years I ordered this year and have not received my order that was placed on April 9 2018 I then sent my order to them with their order form and a check and have not received anything nor did I get my check back nor any thing from my credit card
can not get ahold of them on any of their phone numbers including four seasons which is another one of their companies nothing from emails .What the *** is going on? Did they go out of Business are they a fraud company are they over staffed understaffed don't give a crap now? not happy with them is anyone else having problems

So as to get a refund of the purchase price, you need to return the item and the original shipping label, with the correct postage affixed, within 14 days of receipt.
Please note that each order is processed within 1-2 weeks. Seeds and Merchandise are normally shipped as soon as processing is completed.
